Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development’s Goodwill Campaign

The Goodwill Campaign was established in the early 1990s by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development to alleviate poverty and unemployment among the least fortunate in the Kingdom.

The campaign involved food distribution packages and alms during the holy month of Ramadan, but progressed to work throughout the year.  Over the years, the Goodwill Campaign has proven to be an integral support to Jordan’s poverty alleviation drive at the national level.  Today, more than 20,000 people in the Kingdom are benefiting from the Goodwill Campaign annually, including children, youth, women, the elderly and disabled. The campaign expanded to include providing scholarships for the less fortunate because education is a vital means to development.
